This course aims at providing basic concepts on the application of risk analysis techniques to dam safety management, presenting available tools for risk analysis and lessons learned from real cases in Spain, America, Asia and Europe. During the course, the benefits of risk-informed dam safety governance will be exposed and discussed, with especial emphasis on how risk results can be used to inform decision making.
 
The course is led by Adrián Morales Torres from SPANCOLD (Spanish National Committee on Large Dams).
