This course focuses on the principles of asset management to minimise the life cycle costs of hydropower assets and to effectively manage risk through failure modes, maintenance and mitigation planning. The practical aspects draw on Entura’s working knowledge and expertise, which is backed up by 100 years of experience in developing and operating power and water infrastructure as part of Hydro Tasmania, Australia’s largest renewable energy provider.

After completing the course, participants will have a good understanding of the purpose, processes and methodologies of condition, performance and risk-based asset management practices for the maintenance of hydropower stations.

The course is led by Dr. Paul Southcoot from ENTURA, Australia.
