This one day workshop provides a detailed technical engineering training program prior to the detailed technical evaluations done on TNB Hydro Stations. Upon completion of the course, the participants should be able to understand:
  • Hydrological analysis
  • Modeling using statistics and frequency distribution to calculate PMP, PMF and develop Flood Hazard Maps using MIKE 1D and MIKE2D
  • Flood hazard maps produced from modeling
The course is led by Datin Prof. Ir. Dr. Lariyah Mohd Sidek who is the President of Malaysian National Committee on Large Dams (MYCOLD). She also holds position as Head of Sustainable Technology and Environment Group (STEG) and Professor in Institute of Energy Infrastructure (IEI), College of Engineering UNITEN. The workshop also conducted by Ir. Hidayah Basri (Lecturer in Civil Engineering Department, UNITEN) and En. Rahsidi Sabri Muda (Principal Researcher, Unit Head for Civil engineering & Geoinformatics, TNB Research Sdn. Bhd. Malaysia).
